The Swiss Finance Institute is hosting its International
Wealth Management Retreat event – with a particular emphasis on China -
in the exclusive mountain resort of St Moritz in the Alpine
state between 1 and 4 September this year. The SFI, a private foundation of Switzerland’s banking and finance community
in cooperation with Swiss universities, brings in top-rated academics and
practitioners. Speakers such as the leading economist Professor Philippe
Bacchetta from the University of Lausanne or the chief executive of the Swiss-American
Chamber of Commerce, Martin Naville. To view more about the SFI, click here. For details about the retreat, click here. The event focuses on business and relationship challenges
specific to wealth management for the wealthiest clients around the world. As
described by the organisation, the SFI’s retreat “functions as a platform for
senior executives who want to better understand how to shape their businesses
and to test their views against research findings and the experience of their
peers”. "The current environment for banking remains challenging,
requiring new answers to an increasing number of questions, and a search for
innovation. That is why this year’s retreat looks at where to find solutions 'beyond wealth management'.” The four-day event will cover three topics: How to best engineer wealth management in an environment of
change? How to address the wealth dislocation from the West to the
East? How to engage with the wealthiest clients at the highest
level of banks?
