Maitland Adds UHNW Expert To Private Client Team In London

Maitland, the law firm and fund administration business, has appointed Rupert Clarey as a senior associate in London. His background is in advising UHNW individuals, trustees and institutions in relation to the establishment and administration of trust and company structures and all aspects of related tax planning, the firm said in a statement. This includes providing advice to individuals who are resident but not domiciled in the UK, and providing guidance on the UK remittance rules. Prior to joining Maitland, Clarey was a senior associate with Stonehage in London for seven years and a solicitor/trust officer with Rathbone Trust Company (Geneva and Jersey) for four years. He trained as a solicitor at a firm in Jersey.
