UK-based Darwin Investment Managers has unveiled a model portfolio service comprising three risk-graded funds, in response to increasing advisor demand for outsourcing options.

The funds, managed by former M&G and multi-asset veteran David Jane, aim to offer cost-effective access, ease of administration and low minimum investment for financial advisors and their clients.

The three funds will be exclusively accessed through Novia’s platform, have a minimum investment of £10,000 ($15,500) and an estimated total expense ratio of under 1.2 per cent.

Commenting on the launch, Jane said: “Having worked closely with the independent financial advisor market for a long time, it gives me a lot of pleasure to introduce a service which suits a growing demand.  Matching our expertise in managing multi-asset strategies to the growing number of independent financial advisors looking to cost-effectively outsource their investment management, but retain the client relationship, provides a wonderful opportunity.”

Darwin Investment Managers was set up by Jane in 2010, and the Darwin Multi Asset fund was launched in June 2011.
