London-based Thomas Miller Investment has appointed Abi Oladimeji, its head of investment strategy, as a director. Oladimeji has been with the firm since 2006, before which he was a consultant specialising in financial economics. In his current role he devises all of Thomas Miller’s investment strategy and oversees the firm’s macroeconomic and asset allocation research efforts. In addition he runs multi-asset portfolios for institutional clients. Towards the end of last year the firm signed a ten-year administration and custody outsourcing agreement with BNY Mellon. Under the deal, the US giant’s asset servicing group will be responsible for Thomas Miller's institutional business while Pershing, a BNY Mellon company, will service the firm's private investment management business. The agreement covers both the onshore and offshore business requirements of Thomas Miller, which has offices in Edinburgh and the Isle of Man, in addition to London.
Thomas Miller Investment has £2.6 billion in assets under management; it serves insurance mutuals, charities, pension schemes, governments and private clients.
