Old Mutual Global Investors To Make UK Fund Changes

Old Mutual Global Investors is to make changes to its UK-domiciled funds, managed by Skandia Investment Management, effective from 11 March.

In April 2012, Old Mutual announced that it was to combine two of its UK asset management businesses, creating Old Mutual Global Investors - a new single asset management presence in the UK.

“Skandia Investment Management Limited (the authorised corporate director for any OEICs, or the unit trust manager for any unit trusts) has changed its name to Old Mutual Investment Management. The creation of the new entity will be reflected by a change to the names of the funds in the Old Mutual range,” the firm said in a statement.

The fund names will be changed as follows:

  • Global Equity Income Fund will become Old Mutual Global Equity Income Fund.  
  • Global Best Ideas Fund will become Old Mutual Global Best Ideas Fund.  
  • UK Strategic Best Ideas Fund will become Old Mutual UK Strategic Best Ideas Fund.  
  • Ethical Fund will become Old Mutual Ethical Fund.  
  • Skandia Newton Managed Fund will become Old Mutual Newton Managed Fund.  
  • Skandia Property Fund will become Old Mutual Property Fund.  
  • Skandia UK Index Fund will become Old Mutual UK Index Fund. 
  • Gilt Fund will become Old Mutual Gilt Fund.  
  • Skandia Global Property Securities Fund will become Old Mutual Global Property Securities Fund. 
  • Strategic Bond Fund will become Old Mutual Voyager Strategic Bond Fund.  
  • Diversified Fund will become Old Mutual Voyager Diversified Fund.  
  • Alternative Investments Fund will become Old Mutual Voyager Alternative Investments Fund.  
  • Global Dynamic Equity Fund will become Old Mutual Voyager Global Dynamic Equity Fund.  
  • International Diversified Fund will become Old Mutual Voyager International Diversified Fund.  
  • International Growth Fund will become Old Mutual Voyager International Growth Fund.
