Vestra Appoints Fixed Income Strategist

Vestra Wealth, the London and Jersey based wealth manager, has appointed Heinz Schmid
as fixed income strategist in its investment team.
Schmid joins
Vestra from Investec Wealth and Investment. He has previously worked at BNP
Paribas, where he was head of UK fixed income and at HSBC Investment Management,
where he managed the sterling fixed income team. Earlier in his career, Schmind
worked in the Zurich and New York offices of UBS. “Heinz
brings with him a broad range of experience, working in both international and
smaller boutique firms, managing and advising fixed income clients from the
private sector, friendly societies, charities and trusts,” David Scott,
Vestra’s senior partner, said in a statement. In other
news, Vestra reports that, at the end of December 2012, its assets under
management had reached £3.1 billion (around $4.9 billion), a growth of 24 per
cent in 2012. The firm began trading in 2008.
