Offshore legal and fiduciary services provider Appleby has made important changes to its leadership team.

With immediate effect, Frances Woo will move up to group chairman, succeeding Peter Bubenzer who will be retiring from the group on 31 March 2013, after a career at Appleby of more than 32 years.

Appleby has also appointed a new global head of its corporate and commercial practice, Cameron Adderley, who succeeds Judith Collis, also retiring on 31 March 2013, after 27 years.

Adderley will relinquish his position on the group management company board, along with John Bisson, whose retirement was announced in September last year. Sean Dowling and Timothy Faries are the new GMC board members; these appointments will take effect over the next few weeks.

Woo joined Appleby in 1994 and became a partner in 1997. She was appointed as managing partner of the Hong Kong office in 2000. She also heads both the corporate and commercial, and private client and trusts practice groups for the Asia region.
