State Bank Of India Opens Second Branch For HNWIs

The State Bank of India has bolstered its high net worth offering with the opening of a new branch in Kohinoor Banjara. The new office is its second such branch in the country after opening one in Hyderabad in 2011. To-date, the first branch has generated some Rs500 crore ($92 million) in deposits and Rs150 crore in advances for the firm. The branch's features include customised banking solutions and a dedicated relationship manager per customer, 24-hour access to lockers with prior appointment, cheque/draft pickup and delivery and personal banker support. In addition to state of the art technology, it also has a coffee bar and a dressing room for female clients. The minimum deposit to open an account in this branch is Rs50 lakh. State Bank of India said it is preparing to open a third branch in Kohinoor, State of Vijayawada in the next year.
