Wendy Spires
30 October 2012
Parmenion, the UK-based investment systems and advisor support services firm, has named Andrew Doughty as corporate development director. Doughty, who will be based in London, is to focus on identifying and analysing investment opportunities and joint ventures as part of Parmenion’s growth plans. Raising the profile of the firm in the City and with key stakeholders will also form part of his responsibilities, Parmenion said in a statement. Doughty is a director of Doughty Finance, a corporate finance business he launched in 2002, as well as being a non-executive director of Hush Brasseries. In other recent hires at the group, last week Parmenion bolstered its fund research business with the addition of Emily Booth and Peter Dalgliesh, as senior investment manager and investment director respectively. Booth was latterly an investment manager at Canada’s Sun Life Financial, while Dalgliesh was formerly a director in the emerging markets team at F&C Asset Management, running the firm’s Pacific Growth Fund. Earlier this month Parmenion reported that it had reached £500 million (around $800 million) in assets under administration off the back of impressive growth figures. New business has hit around £30 million per month, nearly four times as much as a year ago, the firm said. It now has 450 advisors using its services.
