26 October 2012

AXA Investment Managers, part of the French insurance giant, has appointed Qi Sun as emerging Asia economist.

Sun, who is based in Hong Kong, formerly worked for the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, where he was an economist focused on the Chinese economy and financial reform.

In other recent hires, in August James Gledhill, AXA Investment Managers’ global head of high yield, was appointed to take over from Andrew Wilmont as head of the European high yield team. Wilmot left the firm to pursue other opportunities; details of his next role have yet to emerge.
