Director David McCorkell is retiring from the board of Brewin Dolphin, the UK-listed private client wealth management firm.

McCorkell, who had been head of investment management, joined the firm’s board back in 2003 (he became a director of Brewin Dolphin Holdings’ in 2006). He was appointed as head of investment management in 2007.

In other recent news at Brewin, earlier this month the firm brought in Andrew Wheeler as a divisional director and head of its office in Ipswich.

Wheeler, an investment manager for private clients, self-invested pensions, trusts and charities, joins Toby Sellers, Nicholas Barber and Matthew Shields at the new office in Felaw Maltings. He previously worked at the wealth and investment management division of Barclays.

“We are committed to growing our presence in East Anglia and this appointment is a big step in achieving our goals," said Robin Beer, Midlands regional director at Brewin Dolphin, at the time.

Brewin Dolphin has over 40 offices nationally and £25 billion (about $40 billion) in funds under management.
