US Bank has developed a wealth management app for Windows Phone. The app allows users to access market and economic insights from US Bank’s investment management team, save and monitor a portfolio of stocks using interactive charting, and get real-time stock quotes. “This is part of our continuing effort to build and deliver mobile applications on all key platforms that will allow our brokerage clients to securely trade stocks, monitor their investment and account information and transfer funds between accounts anywhere anytime,” said Angela O’Leary, head of investment products at US Bank Wealth Management. Alongside the wealth management app the firm is rolling out an app for its retail payment solutions division, also for Windows Phone, which allows users to apply for a credit card and, if accepted, get instant access to it. Financial services firms are increasingly looking for ways to deliver their services remotely and interactively. For example, earlier this month Charles River, a software and services provider, unveiled Charles River Mobile, a tablet and smartphone app providing access to the Charles River Investment Management Solution via the iPad/iPhone and Android-powered devices. Users can remotely access orders/trades, accounts, compliance status, watch lists and market data in real-time. Meanwhile, portfolio managers can manage asset allocations, create orders, monitor cash, and view top holdings based on the latest trade information. Financial advisors can also conduct interactive face-to-face client meetings using their tablets as a graphical reporting and presentation tool.
