ClearView Financial Media, publisher of WealthBriefingAsia, is delighted to announce that Bruce Weatherill will join shortly as chairman. Stephen Harris, managing director of ClearView, said: "Bruce is respected as one of the true leaders in wealth management across the globe. He has advised banks and wealth managers at the highest level and his insight and guidance will be invaluable to our business in the years to come." The move to appoint the ex-PricewaterhouseCoopers partner and head of their wealth management practice is set against a backdrop of senior management hiring at ClearView. In September it was announced that international trade policy guru Chris Cosgrove has joined as sales and marketing director and more appointments are expected. "These appointments mark a turning point in ClearView's business and growth trajectory," said Harris. "Along with the new global awards programme and the soon to be launched Wealth-View TV, ClearView will offer wealth managers everything they need to keep abreast of industry developments and thought-leadership initiatives." Along with strategic development, Weatherill will give added impetus to the company's Asian offering, including WealthBriefingAsia and the popular WealthMatters events held annually in Hong Kong and Singapore. Weatherill is also a director of JDX Consulting, a specialist alternative resourcing company for financial services clients and ComPeer, a UK research and benchmarking firm. He was a partner at PwC for more than 20 years, providing a range of audit and consulting services to global private banking, wealth management and investment management clients. For over 10 years, he was a global leader of PwC's private banking and wealth management practice, driving operations in 35 countries.
