BMO Harris Bank has named Dave Mika as its new president for the Lakeshore market of the Chicago Metro region - a role in which he will develop and execute strategies to deliver the firm’s retail banking, business banking and wealth management services across 12 locations in downtown Chicago, Hyde Park and Kenwood.

Mika has 25 years of financial services experience and most recently led the firm’s Northwest Indiana market. Prior to joining BMO, he worked at JP Morgan Chase. There, he held multiple roles including vice president of its National Management Development program, as well as regional sales and service manager for markets in 17 states, and market manager for the retail staff and small business bankers across 72 branches.

"Dave's strong customer focus and extensive community involvement will further support a very important market for us," said Mike Lewis, regional president, BMO Harris Bank.

In other recent moves at BMO, at the start of August BMO Financial Group said it is merging its Harris Bank and M&I Bank advisor networks to create BMO Harris Financial Advisors - a network of over 230 professionals with some $12 billion in client assets.

Led by 165 advisors from Harris Bank and M&I, BMO Harris Financial Advisors’ combined business comprises over $2.5 billion in discretionary assets under management and more than $9 billion in brokerage assets.
