JP Morgan Private Bank Names Ex-StanChart Manager As Asia Marketing Head
Tom Burroughes
13 September 2012
Jacqui Brabazon, the former global head of marketing and
philanthropy at UK-listed Standard Chartered, is joining JP Morgan Private
Bank effective 18 September, this publication can exclusively reveal. She will hold the post of head of Asia marketing, and be
based in Singapore.
Brabazon will report to Paula Pullano, head of international marketing at JP
Morgan Private Bank, WealthBriefingAsia has learned. JP Morgan later confirmed the move. The move means that Brabazon will be re-united with her
former colleague Peter Flavel, who is now CEO, JP Morgan Private Wealth Management Asia. He previously was head of the
private bank at StanChart, leaving in 2010. JP
Morgan Private Bank services two client segments: the
ultra-high-net-worth business serves clients with a net worth
above US$30 million. The high-net-worth business (JP Morgan Private
Wealth Management) serves clients with a net worth from US$10-30
million. Andrew Cohen is CEO of JP Morgan Private Bank Asia; Flavel, as already mentioned, holds the post of CEO at JP Morgan Private Wealth Management
Asia. JP Morgan Private Bank has made a number of recent important
hires; in early August, it appointed a former Goldman Sachs executive, Fan
Jiang, to lead its Asian strategy team. He had previously worked at Goldman
Sachs for almost 20 years. The US
bank in July also added two senior bankers to its ranks in Singapore, covering high net worth wealth in Indonesia: Sean
Straton, formerly of Westpac Private Bank, and Lynda Teo, formerly of UBS.
