Goldman Sachs has been granted a licence to establish an office at the Dubai International Financial Centre. The licence was granted by the Dubai Financial Services Authority. Goldman Sachs intends to offer a comprehensive range of services to its clients in the region, the bank said in a statement. Goldmans has been building up its wealth management business in the Middle East and last year hired Farid Pasha, one of UBS’s top asset gatherers of Middle East private client money, to spearhead the push.
