Wendy Spires
6 September 2012
Coutts, the wealth division of Royal Bank of Scotland, has named Philip Taylor as regional chairman for Coutts & Co Channel Islands. As regional chairman Taylor will act as a senior ambassador for Coutts and will also liaise with management on the strategic development of the business, working with the teams in Guernsey and Jersey. He succeeds Pierre Horsfall, who has stepped down after three years in the role. Taylor, a recent addition to the board of RBS International as a non-executive director, is also a member of the local audit committee. He retired in 2009, having previously been a senior partner at PwC. Taylor is currently chairman of Hawksford International, chairman of the States of Jersey Treasury Advisory Panel and chairman of the Jersey International Business School. In other recent senior hires, last month saw Coutts appoint Sabrina Del Prete to the newly-created role of head of client solutions. Del Prete was latterly head of strategic partnerships and international third party distribution at Barclays. She previously held other senior roles at the UK bank, including global head of investment product distribution and global head of structured product distribution.
