Californian Wealth Management Initiative Launched

Hanmi Financial Corporation, a Californian financial services firm targeted mostly at the ethnic South Korean community in the state, has launched a wealth management group. The bank plans to target client growth in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, Santa Clara and San Diego areas, where it has an established network of branches. The group has appointed Michael Soonam Lim to head up the new business. He joined from Standard Chartered First Bank (formerly known as Korea First Bank in Seoul), where he was head of private banking.
