Sberbank, the Russian banking group which joined forces with Troika Dialog to create the country's largest universal banking institution at the start of the year, has made three appointments to its private banking team. Julia Petrova joins as head of lifestyle, a role incorporating responsibilities for analysing client needs, developing strategy and widening the product offering for private banking clients with regard to lifestyle services. She was latterly the managing director of private banking at NOMOS-BANK, having joined in October 2010 after holding the position of vice president for sales and strategy at Everest Asset Management. Petrova said that "fully-fledged private banking does not just mean competent management of clients’ financial assets, but is also reflected in the bank’s ability to render assistance to the client for a wide range of matters, from acquiring real estate to choosing a school for their children, something that is covered by lifestyle". Alexei Dolgikh and Igor Prokhaev are also joining the private banking team at Sberbank as vice presidents and group heads. They both joined after a long stint at Troika Dialog’s global markets department, where they served as sales managers in the equity division. Their new responsibilities include development of business with existing clients from Sberbank and Troika Dialog’s joint client base as well as attracting new ones.
