Bank Danamon, the Indonesian bank, is set to begin selling the life insurance and wealth management products under the Asuransi Jiwa Manulife Indonesia brand. The move is a result of an agreement made in October 2011, which aims to combine the strengths of the Danamon and Manulife in Indonesia. Danamon clients can now get complete wealth management products from Manulife through the former's 523 retail branches. The newly-launched products, the Proteksi Prima Maxima, Proteksi Prima Rencana Flexi and Proteksi Prima Rencana, are expected to complement a range of asset management offerings already available at Danamon, such as the Proteksi Prima Dinamis and Primajaga. These provide life insurance coverage with a variety of investment choices through 14 linked fund units, said Danamon in a statement. Two-hundred fifty of Manulife's financial specialists and 60 sales leaders have been assigned to market Danamon's products in the country. Manulife has also trained over 3,500 Bank Danamon staff across their branches.
