PwC Executive Chairman In Singapore To Retire

PwC Singapore executive chairman Gautam Banerjee is to retire
on 31 December this year, to be succeeded by Yeoh Oon Jin, who has been a
senior manager in the firm, having spent 25 years there, according to media
reports. Yeoh - currently leader of the firm's assurance service line
- will become executive chairman designate with effect from 1 July, and
executive chairman on Jan 1 next year. Banerjee, who is 58 this year, retires as he has reached the
firm's mandatory retirement age for partners. He has spent more than 30 years
with the firm, becoming executive chairman in 2004. The firm did not respond to this publication's request for comment at the time of going to press.
