First Republic Bank has established a new office in downtown Los Angeles, transferring its existing LA operations on West 7th Street to 888 South Figueroa Street.

The relocated branch will offer a range of private banking, private business banking and wealth management services.

As part of its expansion in the area, Jim Denver, a business banker with over 25 years of experience, has been appointed as managing director and business banker. He will direct the bank’s business initiatives, serving the downtown LA business community.

Prior to joining First Republic, Denver was senior vice president and regional manager of California Bank & Trust in LA. Before that, he worked for Citibank and First Interstate Bank.

In LA, First Republic has offices in: Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Century City, Santa Monica, and Studio City.

In other related developments, last month the bank launched an office in Wellesley, MA, as it also continues to expand its presence in Boston.
