LPL Financial Hires Industry Veteran To Head Business Consulting Team

LPL Financial, the US broker-dealer and a wholly owned subsidiary of LPL Investment Holdings, has appointed Robert Comfort as executive vice president of business consulting at its institutional services arm. Comfort will lead the business consulting team responsible for serving around 680 banks and credit unions to which LPL Financial provides brokerage, trust and wealth management services. In his previous role, Comfort worked at Huntington Bank, where he led its retail brokerage program and most recently was responsible for leading all of Huntington's wealth management businesses, including personal trust, private banking, broker-dealer and RIA. He joined Huntingdon in 1995.
