Signia Wealth, the London-headquartered boutique, has continued a spate of recent senior appointments by naming Ameet Patel as head of alternative investments.

Based in London, Patel will focus on developing Signia’s hedge funds investment offering.

He joins from AlphaOne Partners, where he was a managing director investing in hedge funds for ultra high net worth clients. Patel has also worked on the sell-side, having spent several years at Lehman Brothers as an equity research analyst on the telecoms team.

“Ameet has an exceptional track record in managing ultra high net worth client accounts in the hedge fund space. His extensive and varied experience across the alternative investments industry will help us to further develop our capabilities and breadth of expertise in this important area,” Nathalie Dauriac-Stoebe, the firm’s founder and chief executive, said in a statement.

Earlier this month Signia appointed Sonjoy Phukan as managing director, recruiting him from the wealth and investment management division of Barclays. Based in London, Phukan is to focus on developing Signia Wealth’s international business.
