Kleinwort Benson, the UK private bank, is to restructure its fund administration business in an operation which will see “a number of roles” throughout Jersey and Guernsey redeployed to its Cape Town office.

The firm said it is looking to reorganise resources across the three locations in which its fund administration business operates, but has yet to reveal exactly how many positions will be affected.

“Those staff members who could be affected by this have been informed but I cannot give specific details or figures at this time as nothing has been finalised,” said Mark Bright, managing director of the firm's offshore businesses.

In terms of systems, Bright said the firm has moved onto a new, single platform, with an integrated business model.
