Silver Bridge has appointed Bradley Fisher as a managing director, responsible for leading its family office advisory practice, effective 1 March, the US firm said.

Fisher will be responsible for tailoring services to fit Silver Bridge's family office clients nationally, and also for supporting the firm's initiatives on the West Coast, such as the Silver Bridge Institute, for which he will act as a faculty advisor, and the Silver Bridge Center for Family and Privately Owned Businesses. Both of these operations were launched by the firm last year to expand its educational and family business offerings.

Heading up the advisory unit, Fisher will be working with existing and new clients, as well as their advisors and family office staff. He will be based at the firm's San Francisco, CA office and report to Stephen Prostano, chief executive, and West Coast regional director Martim de Arantes Oliveira.

Before joining Silver Bridge Fisher was a managing partner and co-founder of Featherstone Holdings, which specialises in private investments with a focus on operating businesses and real estate. Featherstone is a strategic partner of Silver Bridge and will remain so, the firm said in its statement. Before Featherstone, he was the CEO and chief investment officer of Springcreek Advisors, a California-based multi-family office.

Silver Bridge is a privately-held, owner-managed wealth advisory firm with $3.2 billion in assets under advisement as of 31 January 2012.
