Hefty Wealth Partners Appoints CIO

Indiana-based Hefty Wealth Partners, the wealth management firm, has expanded its investment committee with the addition of David Abuaf as chief
investment officer. Abuaf, who has a background in market, economic and financial analysis,
will direct the firm’s advance and protect investment strategy. Previously, Abuaf was an equity research analyst for Principled Capital
Management and served on the manager research and portfolio management team at
Corbin Capital and Morgan Stanley. In addition, he has also spent time with Republic National Bank on the
foreign exchange currency desk as well as having worked on Bear Stearns'
fixed income derivatives team in London. The investment committee also consists of chief executive David Hefty and wealth partner Doug Lockwood. The firm, which was founded in 2000, initially operated under the name
of Cornerstone Wealth Management, but rebranded to Hefty Wealth Partners in
2010 to reflect changes
to its portfolio.
