Brooks Macdonald, the UK wealth management firm that recently announced it was sponsoring Middlesex County Cricket Club, said trading in the half-year period to 31 December 2011 was “in line” with company expectations. The acquisition of the Clarke Willmott investment management team, completed on 31 October, brought a total of £114.4 million of discretionary client assets to the AIM-listed firm, it said in a statement. At the end of last year, discretionary funds under management stood at £3.205 billion, a rise of 11 per cent compared to 30 September 2011 and up 8 per cent compared to the period ended 30 June 2011. Full results will be issued on 13 March.
