Technology firm GlobalOne, which specialises in areas such
as cloud computing for professional services, has rolled out GlobalOne Asset
Management, Retail Banking and Wealth Management solutions. These packages are designed to speed up cloud-based customer
relationship management systems. The launch comes at a time when cloud computing, which
describes how hosted services are delivered over the internet, has been growing
as an area in the technology sector, raising issues such as the security and
speed of these seystems. "Until now, most financial services organizations have
struggled to find vertical-focused solutions that leverage cloud and social
technologies," said Geoff Merrick, chief technology of GlobalOne. "This industry is burdened with decades-old legacy
technology and new regulatory requirements. The desire within these organisations
to collaborate more effectively makes migrating to social solutions a very
compelling strategy. For the first time, these firms can realise the business
benefits of cloud and social technologies at a speed and cost that was
traditionally unrealistic,” he said. GlobalOne Asset Management is immediately available directly
from GlobalOne. GlobalOne Retail Banking and GlobalOne Wealth Management will
be available early 2012. GlobalOne was formed in 2007 and is headquartered in New York, with offices in Chicago,
Atlanta, San Francisco,
Sydney, Australia
and Manila, Philippines.
