Raymond James Financial has appointed Dennis Zank, currently president of Raymond James & Associates, as chief operating officer of the parent firm, amid a round of executive changes at its wealth management and investment banking units. Zank has served as Raymond James & Associates’ president of the private client unit for the past nine years. He joined the group’s accounting department in 1978 and became controller in 1982. Zank takes over from Chet Helck, who will continue to lead the firm's global private client group and retain responsibility for Raymond James & Associates and Raymond James Financial Services. Meanwhile, taking over from Zank in his recent position at Raymond James & Associates as president of the private client business, is Tash Elwyn. She was latterly a senior vice president and division director there. In other senior management changes, Scott Curtis has been appointed to the role of president of Raymond James Financial Services, effective January 2012. Curtis replaces Dick Averitt, who will be stepping down from the role as of next year. For the past six years, Curtis has been a senior vice president of the Raymond James & Associates private client group. In other moves, last week the firm hired Vincent Campagnoli from UBS Wealth Management Americas as a senior vice president, and head of private client group technology strategy and development, also reporting to Helck.
