BNY Mellon Wealth Management has promoted Andrew Tepper to its wealth advisory team, which works with ultra high net worth families and family offices.

Tepper has been with the firm since 2008, and before the appointment was a senior portfolio manager in the Philadephia region, responsible for overseeing around $600 million in discretionary and trust assets.

He now reports to wealth advisor team leader Ridgway Powell, who was appointed just earlier this week to the role. Powell has been at the firm for 25 years, latterly as director of investments for the family offices services division. He in turn reports directly to Donald Heberle, head of the family wealth and international businesses.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management  has around $170 billion in private client assets; its range of services include wealth and estate planning, investment management and private banking.

The firm has made a number of wealth management hires in recent months, ramping up its teams in Florida, San Francisco and Los Angeles, for example.
