SunGard Launches Mobile Solutions For Wealth Managers

SunGard has launched a raft of mobile applications intended to help wealth managers and retirement experts to increase their efficiency and the impact of client meetings.

The new mobile strategy also aims to help investors interact with clients and keep them engaged.  

The firm says that it believes that the use of mobile devices will play an increasing role in financial services as the use of tablets and smartphones is set to surge in coming years.

SunGard’s wealth management mobile solutions include: WealthStation Mobile Meeting, a tablet-based solution for advisors to use in meetings; Benefit Administration Mobile Participant, which provides web, smartphone and tablet access for retirement plan participants; WealthStation My Retirement, a new financial planning module; and WealthStation Mobile Report Access, which offers tablet access to already-generated financial plans.

A recent report from Aite Group, the US financial research organisation, warned that wealth managers need to speed up in their use of mobile technology. “Wealth management firms are clearly late to the game, and most firms still struggle to define a fitting mobile strategy,” said Alois Pirker, research director at Aite.
