KPMG has appointed Lynne Doughtie as vice chair for advisory and Carl Carande as national managing partner for advisory. Doughtie most recently served as national managing partner, the position Carande is assuming. In this new role, Doughtie will be a member of the management committee and will lead advisory for KPMG in the Americas, which has a network of around 7,000 partners and professionals. In addition, she will also sit on the global advisory leadership team. She succeeds Mark Goodburn who has recently been made global head of advisory. Carande used to be the national account leader for the banking and finance sector at KPMG and before that spent 13 years at Bank of America, where he held key positions in the retail and commercial banking divisions. In his new role, he will be teaming up with Doughtie to execute the company's advisory growth and service quality strategies. Both will assume their new roles on 1 October 2011.
