Schroders has bolstered its multi-asset investment business with the hire of Matthias Scheiber from Aethra Asset Management as a fund manager. At Aethra, Scheiber was fund manager and partner in charge of managing absolute return mandates and a hedge fund. Before that, he was a tactical asset allocation portfolio manager and strategist at Fortis Investments within BNP Paribas Investment Partners. He previously held a similar position at ABN Amro Asset Management. In his new role, he will report directly to the head of multi-asset investments, Johanna Kyrklund. “Our multi-asset business has grown rapidly over the past five years and we are keen to build on this momentum,” Nico Marais, head of multi-asset investment and portfolio solutions, said in a statement. Earlier this year, the team, which comprises about 60 investment professionals globally, was reinforced with Aymeric Forest, Rob Hall and Garth Taljard.
