Crédit Agricole has hired Bernard Delpit as its new group finance director, effective 29 August 2011, replacing Bertrand Badré, who is leaving the Crédit Agricole Group after four years.

Delpit was latterly deputy chief executive and chief financial officer of the La Poste group, which he joined in June 2009. He has also previously worked at the French Treasury, PSA Peugeot Citroën and joined the cabinet of the French President in May 2007 as advisor for public finances and taxation, and then as economic advisor.

In his new role as group finance director Delpit reports to Michel Mathieu, deputy CEO of Crédit Agricole in charge of central functions, insurance and asset management.
