Rathbone Brothers’ head of investment management, Richard Lanyon, will step down from his position and the board next year, but stays on as investment director.

Lanyon has been in the role at the UK-based investment and wealth management house for ten years. He will be succeeded by the company’s chief operating officer, Paul Chavasse, whose position will become vacant.

In 2012, Rathbones is also expected to move to a new headquarters in London’s Mayfair district.

The firm earlier this year said its total funds under management rose by 2.6 per cent to £16.04 billion (around $26.3 billion) at the end of the first quarter of 2011, from £15.63 billion on 31 December 2010.
