State Street Global Advisors is planning to launch its first UK-listed exchange-traded funds this summer. The investment management division of the US-based financial services holding company State Street Corporation is awaiting regulatory approval before it launches the new range of ETFs on the London Stock Exchange. The firm already has a European presence through the Deutsche Börse; it offers 27 different German-listed ETFs, including a single sterling-denominated fund. Its European ETFs include funds that track the MSCI Europe, world and emerging markets indices. State Street Global Advisors' assets under management stand at $1.9 trillion, as of June 2010.
