Banking technology giant Advent is continuing to gain recognition for its portfolio management and fund accounting system, Geneva, with the latest accolade in the form of the “Best Fund Accounting and Reporting Systems” award at the 2011 HFMWeek European Hedge Fund Services Awards.

The 2011 award marks the third consecutive year that the firm has been named a winner at the HFMWeek ceremony.

The decision process for the awards, which uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative results, is completed by a team of external judges made up of a selection of industry professionals, according to a statement by Advent.

Geneva is a global portfolio management and accounting platform said to be used by asset managers, hedge funds, fund administrators, prime brokers, and mutual funds. It aims to offer comprehensive instrument coverage, financial general ledger and industry-standard integration tools that seek to enable firms to manage complex investment vehicles, multiple investment strategies, and tiered fund structures.
