Santander Launches Two New Investment Portfolios

Santander Asset Management has added two new portfolios to its range of investment products.
The Santander Global Emerging Equity Portfolio invests regionally and in global emerging markets through a range of managers.
The Santander Dividend Income Portfolio aims to provide income, as well as long-term capital growth. It is primarily invested in UK and/or European Equities. The portfolio holds assets directly, unlike the Santander Global Emerging Equity Portfolio, which is a fund of funds. The portfolio is managed in-house by Hak Salih.
“Given the rate at which the demand for income amongst investors is growing, the launch of this new portfolio to the existing line-up means that a wider range of investors’ needs can be met as it aims to provide them with a growing source of income, paid quarterly,” said Salih in a press release.
The launch of the new portfolios comes several months after the arrival of Tom Caddick, UK head of multi-manager, and Toby Vaughan, UK multi-manager fund manager, from LV Asset Management.
Santander Asset Management UK launched at the start of 2007 when it took control of the asset management companies previously owned by Abbey National.
