Sabrient
Systems and Stutland Volatility Group are launching Stutland
Volatility Funds, a new asset management firm offering a range of
long/short quant funds. The
new asset manager's products will be available for clients such as
hedge funds, actively managed ETFs, mutual fund distributors and
privately managed accounts for investors starting at $100,000. Principals
of the firm are SVG managing partner Brian Stutland, Sabrient
president Scott Brown, and SVG's Luke Rahbari. The
investment process begins with active stock selection metrics to make,
buy and sell decisions on a large universe of stocks; these metrics
are then matched with a combination of stocks and options to find
“efficient entry and exit points”, according to the firm.
Positions are then hedged or rebalanced according to the Sabrient
ranking universe, Rahbari said. Sabrient
Systems is an independent equity research firm, while Stutland
Volatility Group is an investment firm which focuses on the treatment
of volatility as an asset class.
