UBS Wealth Management Americas has recruited a trio of advisors from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney who have a combined $1.1 billion in assets under management.

Renato Reali, Paul Vigue and William Platt, known as The Fortis Group, have joined UBS’ Avenue of the Americas branch.

Also joining the New York office is Steven Erenfryd. He comes on board from Oppenheimer & Co and has $100 million in assets under management.

Just last month UBS recruited Ronald Ferrelli, director of the northeast division at MSSB, as regional director for the New York metropolitan region.

Ferrelli replaces Christopher Amo, who late last year moved to head up the firm's private wealth management offices in New York and Washington DC.

UBS also recruited last month an advisor from Merrill Lynch to join its Avenue of the Americas, New York City office. Louise Gunderson manages $650 million of client assets.
