PineBridge Names Ex-JP Morgan Exec To Head Asia Fixed Income Unit

PineBridge Investments, a US-based financial services
company, has appointed Arthur
Lau
as managing director, head of Asia ex-Japan fixed income. Lau brings over 20 years of experience in Asian fixed income
to his new role. Based in Hong Kong, he will be responsible for the
company's Asian fixed income capabilities, with a particular focus on
local fixed income investment strategies for cash unit trusts, pension
funds, and other client portfolios. He will lead a team of eight fixed
income specialists based in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. In
addition, Lau will also be a member of the emerging markets and
international fixed income team. Prior to joining PineBridge, Lau served as
senior portfolio manager and head of Asian credits at JP Morgan Asset
Management in Hong Kong. Before that, he was a director in credit
research at Barclays Capital in Singapore and a director at Fitch in
Hong Kong. PineBridge Investments serves both
institutional and individual clients across various platforms of listed
equity, private equity and hedge fund capabilities. As of 31 December 2010,
the company recorded $82 billion in assets.
