Macquarie Private Wealth Lures New COO From Merrill In New York

Macquarie Private Wealth has named Natasha Yeoh as its new chief operating officer.

Yeoh joins the firm from Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management in New York, where she served as managing director, head of advice and guidance execution. In her new role, she will be based in Sydney and will provide support to Macquarie's financial advisor pool in Australia and New Zealand. The company has over 400 advisors in the region.

"The company aims to bring senior executives with global expertise and experience to bring fresh perspectives and new ways of thinking to our team," Eric Schimpf, head of Macquarie Private Wealth, said in a statement.

The company has managed to increase its advisor network from 140 in September 2010 to around 190 by year-end.
