Overview Of The Tax Relief Act - Glenmede
Wendy Connett
22 December 2010
Lisa
Whitcomb, managing director, Wealth Advisory Services at
Glenmede, has penned
an overview of the Tax Relief Act and what it means to individual investors. In
addition to outlining the highlights of the Act, Whitcomb points out how it
will affect income, estate and gift planning for 2010. “Make
gifts to grandchildren,” she recommends. “There is no urgency to make special
gifts before year-end unless you have been planning a gift of more than $5
million to take advantage of the GST 0 per cent tax rate for 2010. The gift tax exemption for 2010 is
still $1 million not $5 million. “ You
