Citibank Vietnam has launched a new credit card product targeting the elite and affluent market, with air mile incentives.

The Citibank PremierMiles Credit Card allows holders to earn 1 premier mile for every VND20,000 (around $1) of spend and cash advances on the card. A bonus of 1000 miles will also be given upon renewal, while 5000 will be awarded for spending of over VND500 million ($25,000) in one year. The points, which do not expire, may be redeemed for free flights on major airlines flying out of Vietnam.

"MasterCard's latest travel survey revealed that one in four consumers across Asia Pacific are looking to travel. Vietnam is a priority market for us and we will invest in products and strive to pioneer many such innovations in the future," Brett Krause, managing director and country officer for Citi Vietnam, said at a press event.

Included in the benefits of the new premier card are complimentary membership to Priority Pass, which gives access to 600 VIP airport lounges worldwide, travel insurance, and other special privileges.
