BNY Mellon Trust Announces New President

Timothy Vara has been named president of Bank of New York Mellon Trust, with effect from 1 January 2011.
Vara became part of BNY Mellon in 2006 when he managed the corporate trust public finance central region and oversaw 16 organizations with over 32,000 trust accounts and $90 billion in investment assets. He takes over from Troy Kilpatrick, who has recently been appointed head of global business development for BNY Mellon Corporate Trust.
BNY Mellon Corporate Trust services almost $12 billion in outstanding debt in 20 countries. Its range of services includes debt trustee, paying agency, escrow, and other fiduciary offerings.
