Societe Generale Announces CEO For Asian Trust Arm

Societe Generale Private Banking has appointed Steven Lim as chief executive officer of its Singapore-registered public trust firm SG Trust (Asia).
Lim is an industry veteran with over 23 years of experience in the financial, trust, and wealth management sectors in the region. He was most recently part of consulting firm Strategic Associate and was with HSBC Trustee prior to that. He also holds several directorship roles in Singapore Stock Exchange-listed firms.
In his new role, Lim will be responsible for developing the private bank's products and services designed for wealthy Asian clients, particularly in areas such as succession planning, transmission, and the protection and preservation of family wealth. He reports to Olivier Gougeon, the firm's CEO for South Asia.
SG Trust (Asia) is part of the private bank's wealth planning and fiduciary services unit, which spans 14 locations worldwide. It has a team of 25 financial engineers and wealth planners in the region.
