van Biema Value Partners, an investment advisor that caters to high net worth individuals and families, has appointed Teng Ngiek Lian into its board of advisors.
Teng is an experienced veteran of value investing in Asia. He most recently announced that he is retiring from active money management and winding down his firm, Target Asset Management of Singapore, after 14 years of operation.
In his new role as board member, Teng will contribute his expertise to the evaluation of small managers throughout Asia for inclusion into the company's portfolio and boost the firm's presence across the Asian region.
van Biema Value Partners specializes in building portfolios of around 10 to 20 value-oriented hedge funds, each typically managing less than $200 million in assets upon initial investment. Its clientele includes pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, and HNWIs.
