Emerald Asset Advisors, the account and mutual fund manager that serves wealthy clients, has launched its newest mutual fund product, the EAS Global Cycle Fund.

The new fund is a multi-theme, multi-manager global equity portfolio that hedges or raises cash when necessary to reduce volatility and keep in defense against downturns. It may also invest a part of its portfolio in inverse exchange traded funds, short mutual funds, or cash.

"New growth trends continuously emerge and evolve on the global scale, and they can offer tremendous opportunity. Our goal is to capitalize on these areas while mitigating the risk that generally characterize global equities," Robert Isbitts, the chief investment officer and co-founder of Emerald, said in a release.

Some of the top themes in Emerald's lineup include environmental equity, China equity, India equity, frontier markets, gold and healthcare, with some cash and short equity positions. The EAS Global Cycle Fund offers three share classes, two of which have a minimum $2500 initial investment.
