MFC Global Creates New Role To Reflect Worldwide Scope

MFC Global Investment Management has announced that Jacqui Allard will be assuming the newly created role as global chief operating officer with immediate effect.

Allard was vice president and chief administrative officer at the company since 2008. Prior to that, she was senior vice president at State Street Corporation, where she assumed various roles in the senior technology, operations, and client management divisions. She reports directly to J-F Courville, president and chief executive of MFC Global, for her new post.

In a statement, the company said that the position reflects significant growth in the asset manager's global presence.

MFC Global is a division of Manulife Financial and has investment offices in the US, Canada, the UK, Japan, Hong Kong, and throughout Asia. It records $110 billion in assets under management as of 30 June 2010.
